The town of Easton, Connecticut in Fairfield County, United States had a population of 7490 at the census of 2010. Eason CT contains the historic district of Aspetuck. This farmhouse is where the journalist Ida Tarbell lived until her death in 1944. The house was named a national landmark in 1993. Ida Tarbell isn’t the only influential female activist to reside in Easton. In 1936, Hellen Keller moved in and stayed there until she passed away in her sleep in 1968.
