The town of North Stonington, Connecticut lies within New London County. North Stonington CT had a population of 5297 according to the US census of 2010. North Stonington Village
The town was split off from Stonington in the year 1724. The land of North Stonington is situated at the southeast corner of the state of Connecticut. Until the 17th of January, the Pequots, the Niantics, and the Narragansetts were the residents of this area of southeastern Connecticut and adjacent parts of Rhode Island.
It is only little known that the Native American activities in North Stonington before to English colonization in the area.
